Concerning the definition of "additional education" concept

The article carries out a comparative legal analysis of the Russian Federation Law “On Education” and the Federal Law “On Education in the Russian Federation” regarding the purposes of the additional education. The author considers the focus of the additional education on the development of a person as a civil society subject and defines the role of this type of education in the military professionals’ training in order to improve the defense capability of the Russian Federation. The author motivates the change in the definition of additional education in the Article 2 of the Federal Law № 273, suggests an original definition of the concept under study.
