On the determination of the state property

Systematization of methodical approaches to definition of essence of state ownership by the principle of identification of the main idea defining the content of each approach is given in article. Features of resource (factorial), functional, institutional and socially oriented approaches are analyzed. Intrinsic characteristics of state ownership which account is necessary for the purpose of creation of an effective control system of state ownership in the Russian Federation are allocated.
