Enterprise management methods based on manual calculations using “paper production” that are not connected to each other in automatic or semi-automatic mode lead to inefficiency in the use of business processes. Therefore, modern medium and large businesses use information systems to simplify control over the release and quality of products. The purpose of this article is to analyze existing business processes at the enterprise using the AS IS model (“as is”) and an attempt to optimize these processes using the optimal transition model TO BE (as will be) for the ERP system 1C: ERP. The materials and methods of the study are the analysis of some of the key calculations used in production, such as cost calculation and creation of resource specifications. It analyzes the current state of affairs in the information systems used in most manufacturing enterprises and, in particular, in the analysis of the functioning of a specific enterprise, Kubatura LLC. The study showed that the increase in the number of human errors in the preparation of resource specifications affects the planning of product release and production processes, that the complexity of drawing up such a resource specification will require very high qualifications of employees, and the solution to such a problem causes significant difficulties. Methods for optimizing business processes for ERP systems are proposed. The above changes in resource specifications and cost calculation will reduce the complexity of data management and make processes more efficient.
