Urartian bronze belts are an integral system of symbols, it can be considered as an iconographic system of strictly regulated, hierarchically arranged and classified according to the exact degrees of essential iconographic elements. These essential symbolic elements were extremely diverse in their typological variables, strictly hierarchical in contextual-thematic relevance, and classified according to their common functional meaning. Article is describing the iconography of bronze belts and shows the distinctive features of the Urartian art from the Assyrian.
