To the issue of relation and self-attitude

The author submits the analysis of different categories of relations that are the subject matter of study in many scientific fields. The approaches to the concept «relation» in the works of many philosophers are considered: the Aristotle’s view on dialectic of existence and thinking, F. Bacon’s methodology of experimental natural science, T. Hobbes’ metaphysical materialism, the concept of universe material unity of R. Descartes, B. Spinoza’s monism, J. Lock’s dialectics of inherited and social things, G. Berkeley’s idealistic sensualism. The views of G.V.F. Hegel on universal content of the category «relation» and K. Marx, who revealed dialectical tie between relation and its material mediums, specificity of relation objectivism were analyzed. The problems of relations were revealed in the works of the Russian scientists: V.N. Myasischev, who used a term «relation» for designating subject-object tie and also the term «correlation»;.S.L. Komarova, who considered relation as an attribute of any human tie: direct and indirect, physical and ideal ones; N.I. Sardzhveladze, who thought that personality can establish relation to external world and to itself.
