Legal custom in the judicial practice of the Russian Federation

The article examines legal custom and its importance in the activities of courts of general jurisdiction and arbitration courts of the Russian Federation. Based on the analysis of scientific publications, legal monitoring data and numerous court decisions, the author identifies problems and reveals trends in the use of custom as a source of law in judicial proceedings. Its importance in protecting the rights and legitimate interests of participants in legal relations is emphasized.
