On the issue of determining the coefficient of friction in fast-flowing processes of force interaction

The article is devoted to the analysis of a mathematical model of high-speed friction based on an integral assessment of the change in the coefficient of friction in the process of force interaction of contact bodies. A closed mathematical model is constructed that allows calculating the temperature of the contact surface and the change in the mechanical properties of the sliding element material in the contact zone, which determines the change in the coefficient of friction. Changes in the friction coefficients of sliding elements with significantly different mechanical properties are investigated.
