The article discusses the advantages of an international logistics information system, where, within the framework of logistics processes, more and more attention is paid to information flows with the help of which material flows are planned, which allows for management and control. Any movement of goods involves the transfer of information using integrated real-time information systems. In international logistics activities, the management of material flows is based on the processing of information associated with these flows. Management of information flows in the information support of international logistics can be considered in the narrow and broad sense of the word as the digitalization of logistics, which is a system for promptly providing information to the organization as a whole, based on the rules of logistics - rationality, timeliness, accurate calculation. Information technology in a highly competitive environment can significantly contribute to meeting market requirements in the context of globalization. An international logistics information system is defined as «a system that links the work of information and communication technologies with the actions of logistics managers, providing them with access to quality information that helps organize the implementation of the planning and execution of logistics operations». The purpose of the authors' research is to study the system of strategic advantages of the international logistics information system, as an industry that includes a strategy for achieving positive statistics on the country's balance of payments in international trade.
