In the article, the authors solve the problem of the formation of specialized «soft skills» and competencies of the academincs staff , which are necessary for the adaptation of the learning process to the conditions of the «conveyor» learning method. The authors conclude that the following «soft skills» are necessary for teaching hearing impairment: skills related to increasing students' motivation for learning and development; skills related to stress management; special skills and competencies related to the development of emotional intelligence. The authors suggest using the Lusher test and keeping a «diary of emotions» to diagnose the condition of hearing impairment students. After analyzing the results and their statistical processing, it is possible to adjust the learning process taking into account the needs of students with disabilities
