On the issue of making a sub-appointment of an heir in the Russian Federation

This article discusses the procedure for making a sub-appointment of an heir within the framework of the institute of sub-appointment of an heir. The legal grounds for the vocation to inherit a substitute are considered. The emphasis is placed on the fact that the institution of sub-appointment of an heir in the Russian Federation is a continuation of the principle of freedom of probate. Judicial practice is presented and problems such as the death of a substitute before the opening of an inheritance or the loss of the right to inheritance are discussed.
