On the issue of formation and development of legal regulation of breastfeeding breaks

This article provides a historical overview of the development of legal rules governing the provision of breastfeeding breaks to workers, especially women, in Russia. The history of the formation of these norms, from the end of the 19th century to the present day, and their relationship with international experience are examined. Important laws and decrees affecting legislation, as well as the current state of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, are discussed. The author analyzes how the perception of women's role in society and in the workplace has changed, and how this has been reflected in laws. It is emphasized that providing breastfeeding breaks is an important part of public health and social protection for women. The article also examines the implications of these changes for women working part-time and their impact on gender equality in the workplace. The author emphasizes that the issue of regulating breastfeeding breaks remains relevant and requires further development of labor legislation in Russia.
