On the issue of strengthening bent steel elements using carbon fiber materials

The article describes an analytical method for studying the characteristics of the bonds between carbon reinforced steel bendable elements, joint work and changes in the stiffness characteristics of the section during bending. Stresses and deformations under bending loads in steel beams reinforced with carbon fiber lamellas are considered. Analytical bending tests were carried out by modeling the beam structure in the Ansys software package. A theoretical assessment of the load improvement using new carbon fiber configurations and the study of design guidelines for the use of carbon fiber laminates to strengthen beams was carried out.
