Quality characteristics queens affecting family life cycle

Age of queen bees is one of the biotic factors have a significant impact on the biological cycle of family life. The studies were conducted in the Udmurt Republic during the time interval of 2009-2013. The obtained results show a decrease in honey product and gross productivity of bee colonies with older queen bee of 8,6 kg or 38,9%, and 8,6 kg, or 16,6%, respectively. Also, a significant difference was observed in the number of honeycombs rebuilt between the study groups at the 0,6 leaf.
