Qualitative characteristics of retort packaging for canned meat

The article describes the requirements for packaging ‘retort package’ for canned products. The properties of retort packages from various manufacturers, both domestic and foreign, have been investigated. The results of testing the qualitative characteristics of retort packaging are presented. The data obtained indicate high barrier properties of combined packaging materials based on aluminum foil. It is shown that in terms of safety and quality, retort packaging meets the requirements of TR CU 005/2011, GOST 32736.
