Quality and lifestyle: category interconnection through the instrumentarium of time budgets (on the example of young families)

A method of formalizing the image and quality of lifestyle through the instrumentarium of time budgets is proposed. The influence of demographic and monetary factors on the dynamics of lifestyle and quality of life is analyzed. It is established that with the birth of the first child the way of a family' life, both urban and rural, changes most significantly; the decrease in the quality of life is expressed by the replacement of a significant part of the time of employment and leisure by the time allotted for everyday life. With the birth of the second and subsequent children the family continues to lead a familiar lifestyle and seeks to optimize their resources so that the quality of life is not diminished, and to a large extent this succeeds. More effective areas of support for young families are not so much related to additional monetary benefits, but rather to providing employment opportunities, creating conditions for combining employment and raising children. The aim of the article is to draw a connection between the way and quality of lifestyle and to describe both categories in a formalized way using the instrumentarium of time budgets.
