Quality of population: connection with economic development of regions

Improvement of the quality of population is considered in the article as the main objective of the development of society together with the task of improvement of the quality of life. The authors substantiate the choice of the considered indicators of the population quality that is strongly limited by the available statistical information. The study is based on statistical data by 83 regions for the period of 2008-2013. There is conducted a cluster and regression analysis for the totality of regions. The obtained results made it possible to come to conclusions about the character of interrelation between the development of regional economy and the quality of population.
