Quality of the new generation

The paper considers important problems of preservation and improvement of the quality of the coming generation on the basis of a number of studies conducted among children of different ages in Vologda oblast. The author gives a special consideration to the issues of children’s and teenagers’ health preservation and promotion, shows the dynamics in the state of health as they grow up, and identifies the risk factors. She stresses the significance of children’s creative development as the basis for a high quality of the labour and human potential.
