Staff training quality in the context of the educational paradigm shift

The changes in the paradigm of higher education that occurred at the turn of the XX-XXI centuries are characterized. It is noted that the consequences of a paradigm shift are reflected in the governing documents that determine the activities of universities, including federal state educational standards of the third generation. However, new approaches to training personnel are often implemented only in form and not in substance. The negative consequences of unsatisfactory administration of innovations are shown on the example of setting up the training of students receiving technical education in the field of ecology and life safety. The causes of difficulties in mastering the new paradigm of higher education are disclosed and recommendations for their elimination are proposed. A special place is given to improving the quality of the educational process as the main direction of the work of universities. The necessity of revising the requirements for the activities of teachers, the concentration of their efforts on training, education, personality development of students is emphasized.
