Quality of life in patients after esophagoplasty

Assessment of quality of life was performed in 54 patients in the late postoperative period after esophagoplasty (from 1 year to 13 years). Analysis of the results highlight extirpation of the esophagus with simultaneous esophagogastroplasty in patients with benign stenosing diseases of the esophagus as the most effective operation of the measurement of quality of life. Influence of esophagoplasty in the quality of life is mediated by its effects and functional results.
