The paper presents a prospective comprehensive study of the quality of life of patients with a history of stroke based on the EQ-5D questionnaire. The object of the study were 55 patients with a verified diagnosis: I 69.3 (consequences of cerebral infarction). The results of the study showed that men were more susceptible to stroke; the average age of patients was 60.3 years; Ischemic stroke was significantly more common (78.1%) than hemorrhagic stroke (21.9%, (p<0.05). The influence of comorbid pathology in the form of cardiovascular diseases on the development of stroke has been proven. The influence of seasonality on the development of acute cerebrovascular accident was not revealed. According to the results of the study, statistically significant decrease in the quality of life was established for all studied domains of the EQ-5D questionnaire (p<0.001): "Mobility", "Self-care", "Everyday activities", "Pain/discomfort", "Anxiety/depression", the domains "Mobility" and "Everyday activities" suffered especially in patients. The distribution of responses according to EQ-VAS showed a more pronounced decrease in the quality of life in the group of patients with pain syndrome. It has been proven that hemorrhagic stroke is associated with a more significant deterioration in the quality of life of patients in all domains (p<0.05). The results confirm the need to develop comprehensive rehabilitation programs for patients with with a history of stroke, taking into account the patients’ subjective assessment of their condition in order to improve their quality of life.
