How can community exist? Concerning research of gender order in an adapting ethnic minority

The article considers epistemological potential of the gender order theory suggested by Robert Connell as a theoretic basis for research of the ethnic minority adaptation in the social environment of the host community. The author defines four dimensions of the gender analysis of the adaptation process, such as: occupational, power, emotional relations, and symbolic representations. In the conclusion the relevance of the impersonal attitude of the researcher during the empiric stage of the study is emphasized.
