Stone beads from the cemeteries of the mediaeval mordvinians in the Tsna river basin

The paper deals with stone beads discovered in the Tsna cemeteries of the 7 th - 11 th cc. Beads made of natural materials were known from the cemeteries of the Tsna Mordvinians, but have not been investigated and introduced into scientific circulation. The author presents typology of stone beads and their chronological distribution, points to the supposed territories from where beads of carnelian, rock crystal, amber, and jade were imported.
