Stone walls of Bogolyubovo. Studies of 2015

The paper publishes information on two sections of the 12th century stonewalls revealed by archaeological excavations in 2015. Based on comparison with the samewall segments uncovered earlier, conclusions are provided on the plan and characteristicsof Bogolyubovo, which is a city founded by Prince Andrei Yurievich of Vladimir and Suzdal in the 1150s as a prince residence and a monastery. The paper compares Bogolyubovowith western castles and residences.
