Administration of cholesterol to rabbits causes long-lasting shifts in liver karyometric parameters. The results of the research indicate that the studied indicators are not fully returned after 1 month. The liver of rabbits of group 2 was characterized by a significant increase in the number of binuclear hepatocytes, which was not found in the study of the organ in animals of group 1. Data on the increase in the number of binuclear cells can be considered from the perspective of the concept of changing generations of mononuclear and binuclear cells, especially in connection with a decrease in the proportion of the largest nuclei in the liver of these animals.
