Catacomb burials of early nomads in the Trans-Ural Bashkiria

The article deals with a series of chamber (catacomb) burials of early nomads in the Eastern and South-Eastern (Trans-Ural) Bashkiria. Catacombs as a special type of burial constructions appeared in the burial practice of early nomads of the South-Ural steppes in connection with common transformational processes of their culture at the end of the V-IV centuries ВС. The constructional types of burials are analyzed according to the common typology of the catacomb burials. The main versions of their appearance in the South Ural are studied. The article contains the cultural-chronological attribution of the chamber (catacomb) burials which were found in the burial mounds of early nomads of the Trans-Ural Bashkiria.
