"Catharsis" in the plot-spatial organization of E.M. Remarque's novel "Love your neighbor"

The article deals with the correlation of the spatial structure and the plot of E.M. Remarque's novel "Love Your Neighbor". The author argues that in the novel being analyzed the space "leads" the plot. The model of plot-spatial unity is based on such categories as "catharsis" and "chronotope of change". This method gives an opportunity to prove the spatial conditionality of the most important turns of plot.
