The paper discusses the problems of determining the criteria of good faith in the fulfillment of contractual obligations in entrepreneurship, attempts to understand this category and substantiates the conclusion about the need to specify this concept in legal science for its more precise application in practice in entrepreneurial activities. The purpose of the work is to identify the main characteristics of the criteria of good faith in entrepreneurial activities, necessary to determine the place and role of the analyzed category in legal science and business practice. The authors used theoretical methods of formal and dialectic logic, historical and comparative legal methods. Based on the results of the study, it is proposed to amend and supplement the legislation on entrepreneurial activities. It is noted that the criteria for distinguishing the category of good faith should be abided when characterizing it in the theory of law and use in judicial practice. Those are the unity of the objective and subjective, the accentuation of moral and ethical principles.
