The Category “Legal Policy” as a Part of the Rus-sian Concept of Legal Policy in the Field of Social and Economic Development of Society

The current Russian model of social and economic development as-sumes the presence of active state intervention, while at the same time preserving to a greater extent the Soviet model of social security of citizens. Modern realities also point the need to take into account trends in the public relations and govern-ment institutions’ modernisation, emerging as a result of widespread information and digitalisation. This kind of real policy cannot be ensured without an effective legal pol-icy, which by its very nature should fill real policy with ideological meaning-making, designate fundamental legal values and support an appropriate model of behaviour of all participants of the state policy in the field of social and economic development. From the author's point of view, such a policy cannot be formed and implemented without proper scientific and ideological content, and therefore the relevance of the-oretical research in the field under consideration continues to persist.
