Te authors demonstrate the need for the development of an Orthodox theological theory of education (theology of education), grounded in the patristic tradition, the religious pedagogical experience, and modern developments in pedagogy. Te theology of education is described here as a perspective field of knowledge, which studies the values and world-view foundations of pedagogical science and practical pedagogy. According to the authors, it must also consider the diversity of contemporary Christian experience in the theology of education.
