Cossack association of Anapa in the context of the modern history of the Cossacks of Russia

The editors of the magazine turned to the ataman of the Cossack public association of Anapa and the Anapa region with a request to provide information material about fundamental changes in the life of the resurgent Russian Cossacks, since the adoption of the RSFSR Law “On the Rehabilitation of Repressed Peoples” (April 26, 1991). We can conclude that this legal act opened up the opportunity for former Russian Cossacks to experience a new stage of revival, to emerge from oblivion of Cossack glory, worthy people of the Russian community. Taking into account the measures taken on a Russian scale, the changes are striking, they are extensive and targeted. Cossacks, even in modern conditions, are true defenders of Russia, consistent adherents of the Orthodox faith, active participants in the process of creating conditions for ensuring the security of the state, the region, and their family.
