Final Early Iron Age ceramic of perm region

The final early Iron Age ceramics of the Perm Ural region is characterized by a combination of existing compositions of comb, rope, carved ornamentation and patching. Comb ornamentation prevails in the monuments of the Osa local variant. The Chusovaya tribal area has a rather high percentage of carved ornament, which is typical for the Ananyino and early Glyadenovo monuments. The Yugovskaya tribal territory's ceramics has a sufficiently large percentage of patching ornamentation. The Perm ceramics is characterized by the ratio of comb, rope, patching and carved ornamentation. The Verkhnekamsk ceramic complexes have increasing amount of comb and corded orna­mentation and pinch ornament on the rim, and at the same time the decreasing amount of carved ornament and patch­ing. The Tulva-Chastye local variant's ceramics has a sharp prevalence of patching ornamentation increasing to the south. The similar specificity of the Tulva-Chastye ceramics is present in the Ananyino and early Glyadenovo mon­uments. The specificity of ceramic complexes of the Chusovaya monuments can be traced in the materials of the Nevolino culture formed on their basis. The originality of the Verkhnekamsk ceramic complexes, in addition to local features, can be attributed to chronological difference, as the Verkhnekamsk monuments, in general, are later than the Perm, Tulva-Chastye and Osa ones, which cease to exist in the early 6th century. The Verkhnekamsk territory be­comes a key in the shaping of the Lomatovo culture, characterized by such ceramic complexes.
