Filming by persons who provide assistance to justice as a way of fixing evidence in modern criminal proceedings in Russia

Introduction: the author analyzes the issues of filming as a method of filming evidence in the production of procedural and investigative actions in the criminal process of Russia, pays special attention to the peculiarities of filming investigative and other procedural actions. Materials and Methods: the methodological basis of the study was the dialectical method of academic knowledge, historical, logical, comparative legal, statistical methods, as well as observation and other private methods of research of legal phenomena. Results: the article based on the study of the current criminal procedure legislation of Russia and foreign countries, academic research revealed the features of film production in criminal proceedings, formulated the requirements for specialists who assist in filming. The continuity of the norms of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation regulating filming from the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic of 1960 was established. Discussion and Conclusions: the author believes that the norm once progressive for the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic of 1960, allowing to capture the dynamics of the carried out investigative actions on video equipment is currently outdated and subject to progressive exclusion from the rules of contemporary Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.
