Movie script in foreign culture environment: problem of cultural transfer modeling

Study of the specificity of reception and transformation of foreign culture heritage in the recipient environment is an acute problem of Translation Studies. A movie script is one of the central cultural products. The research is based on the data of the French feature films and their translations made for the Russian recipient. This research is an attempt to trace major regularities and trends as well as to consider the key problems of cultural transfer on the basis of analysis of transformations made by translators when representing a culturally significant component of the source text in the target text.
