The dynamics of acid-base state indices in heifers of Holstein cattle during the transition period from deep pregnancy to lactation in the conditions of cattle breeding in the Saratov region was studied. After calving and during the first month of lactation, the cows were identified with blood - pH 7,243 ± 0,01, correlating with a significant loss of body weight.
