Chinese motifs in Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot

The article deals with one of the most famous works by G. Puccini "Turandot". It is the last opera of the Italian composer which he never managed to complete. The article gives a brief historical background of the work. Particular attention is paid to the opera from the aspect of Chinese culture. Several themes are discussed: the reflection of Chinese culture in opera and the acceptance of the work in China itself.
