Chinese messenger Wechat and its place in the Russian segment of online education

The article is devoted to the study of the significance of the WeChat messenger for modern Russian youth. The author gives a brief description of the development of services based on various platforms and concludes that, despite certain specifics, WeChat has great prospects for distribution in Russia. Currently, it is actively used not only as means of communication, entertainment, but also as an alternative platform for the implementation of educational courses. WeChat gains particular importance in the modern conditions of the transition to distance education due to the spread of COVID-19.
