Human capital, issues of identification of human capital from any other, management of human capital, its assessment and classification have been the object of close attention scientists and researchers for more than half a century, which is proved by numerous works on the issues presented. At the same time, there is still no generally accepted interpretation of the concept “human capital”, respectively, there are also various ideas about the human capital management system and its classification. The classification of human capital is an important component the human capital management system, because without understanding what diversity human capital can be distinguished, further studies of evaluation and management systems become irrelevant. In this article, the author, based on the theoretical analysis of works in the field human capital, has given his own definition of human capital and accumulated and developed a system of its classification, including the following classification bases: by the level of return on investment, by type of investor, by the level of recipient complementary utility investments, by the degree of liquidity, by the type of risk of invested investments. Based on the developed definition and the presented classification of human capital, it is possible to develop a theoretical and methodological basis that provides a solution to one of the main problems in the development of modern society - the creation of conditions for the formation, development, realization and reproduction human capital that can lead a single economic entity, region, country to achieve its goals.
