Classification of the diplomatic sources by relations Russia and Persia for 1588-1607 from the fund-collection of the RGADA

The article attempts to classify diplomatic sources on Russia's relations with Persia for 1588-1607 from the collection of RGADA. These are two groups: drafts of two treaties and diplomatic correspondence. Draft agreements refer to the contractual type of public legal acts. Diplomatic correspondence refers to public-law and private-public documents. An attempt at classification was made to reconstruct the full range of diplomatic correspondence and treaties between Russia and Persia. In total, it was possible to establish the presence of sixty-three diplomatic sources for the specified period. Some of them have survived to this day. The other part can be judged only by references in historiography.
