A classification of the educational goals in a technical university, their interdependence and their influence on the main components of student’s competency

The categories of the educational purposes for the modules of disciplines of a technical university providing technical, functional and general knowledge are classified. The analysis of these categories shows necessity of application of related or similar technologies of training inside a particular interdisciplinary educational module. Achievement of the educational purposes conjugates with development of those professional and personal qualities, which determine dominating contributions to competence of the graduate.
