Cluster as the basis of a regional innovation system

Currently, the region's economy is more focused on innovative development and, as a result, the creation of innovation clusters. In the modern economic environment, clusters can indeed be the basis for the development of regional innovation systems (RIS). Clusters are groups of enterprises and organizations that are concentrated in a specific geographic region and specialize in a specific industry or area of activity. Considering the cluster as the framework of a regional innovation system, we note that the cluster is the most effective form of economic integration using digital technologies and innovative products. We observe interest and support in the formation and functioning of innovation clusters from the state in the form of the launch of various regional projects A cluster is a collection of diversified business entities uniting in order to achieve high market performance through the production of competitive and/or innovative products and located in the same territory. Clusters promote networking and collaboration between businesses, universities, research institutes and government agencies. This allows the exchange of knowledge, experience and resources, and also stimulates innovation processes and the development of new technologies. Regional innovation systems created on the basis of clusters help attract investment, create new jobs, and improve the economic development of the region. Clusters can also contribute to the development of education and training of qualified personnel, which is an important factor for innovative growth. When developing a regional innovation system based on clusters, it is important to consider local characteristics, needs and potential of the region. It is also necessary to ensure support from the government and stimulate interaction between cluster participants. This article examines the development of clusters as a way to increase the efficiency of the regional innovation system.
