The article discusses various approaches to the definition of the concept of "customer focus", presents the most popular interpretations of the term "customer focus" to understand its essence. The criteria and key competences of employees in the process of formation of customer focus of the enterprise are described. Customer focus is seen from three sides: as a key competence, as a relationship with target customers or as ensuring equality of positions of different subjects of marketing activities.
