Clinical and electromyographic characteristics of neuromuscular status in preterm children

Бесплатный доступ

Clinical and electromyographic criteria were used to characterize neuromuscular status of the preterm children within first 6 weeks of their life. Clinical examination revealed improvement of their neurological status during that time. It was found that in the preterm children interference electromyogram (iEMG) in the first 6 postnatal weeks is highly similar by EMG parameters with the term children right after birth. Namely, it is characterized by “simplified” temporal structure, low amplitude, and frequency, and by retarded dynamics of EMG parameters
