Clinical protocol for the identification and examination of patients requiring liver transplantation in the regions

Liver transplantation is a real life-saving opportunity for patients with irreversible liver diseases. The number of liver transplantation surgeries is steadily increasing in our country; however, regional transplantation programs are still poorly developed. Adequate provision of liver transplantation services is hampered by improper identification of patients with decompensated liver diseases. We have developed a special algorithm to optimize and streamline the detection, examination, and referral of patients for liver transplantation in regional health care institutions.
