The problem of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 has not lost its relevance until today. To date, the disease remains insufficiently studied, and data on the effect of the virus on the fetus and the health of the future child are contradictory. But it is quite obvious that pregnant women have a higher probability of a more severe course of respiratory viral infections and the sudden development of a critical condition against the background of a stable course of illness. The group at the highest risk of developing severe forms of COVID-19 is pregnant women with concomitant lung diseases, cardiovascular system, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, obesity, chronic kidney disease, liver disease, antiphospholipid syndrome (AFS).
