Actuality. In recent years, there has been a tendency toward an increase in the average paternal age. This trend increases the relevance of studies of «advanced paternal age» in the context of male infertility and the development of personalized diagnostic and treatment tactics for this group of patients. Purpose. To review the literature on the «advanced paternal age» topic. Materials and Methods. Literature search in the PUBMED database was performed. Keywords were: «advanced paternal age» or «aging» and «male infertility». Results. Advanced paternal age negatively influences fertility, the main parameters of the ejaculate, the integrity of the sperm genetic material and the success rate of assisted reproductive technologies (intrauterine insemination, in vitro fertilization, intracytoplasmic sperm injection). In addition, the older age of the father negatively affects the course of the pregnancy (the risk of miscarriage increases) and increases the rate of some diseases of the progeny...
