The past century was marked by the formation of new areas in medicine, to which gastroenterology can rightfully be attributed. At the same time, the expansion and deepening of our knowledge naturally led to the formulation of new tasks that will be solved in the coming century. Somatic pathology in old age has its own characteristics associated with the layering of the pathogenesis of diseases on the natural aging processes. Peptic ulcer is one of the urgent problems of modern gerontology and geriatrics. Peptic ulcer disease is an extremely complex medical scientific problem that has not yet been fully resolved. Peptic ulcer disease is one of the widespread internal diseases. The problem of the prevalence of peptic ulcer disease is currently one of the most discussed. This article presents an analysis of the state of the problem depending on various epidemiological, clinical components in patients of different age groups.
