Results of clinical and epidemiological examining effects of risk factors on development of the circulatory system and cerebrovascular diseases in Chernobyl clean-up workers are presented in the article. Probability of developing circulatory system diseases is higher in the clean-up workers than in unexposed men. In the clean-up workers cerebrovascular diseases are the priority pathology in the structure of the diseases of circulatory system, their rate in clean-up workers of 1986 is 1.7 and 3.6 times higher than in the workers of 1987 and 1988 respectively. The circulatory system and cerebrovascular diseases develop in clean-up workers who are 7.5 and 12.8 years younger than unexposed men. The difference between age at diagnosis in clean-up workers of 1986 and unexposed men with the same diagnosis is 13.6 years. There is direct correlation of cerebrovascular diseases with dose and arterial hypertension, and indirect correlation with age. Effect of such risk factor as radiation on the development of the circulatory system and cerebrovascular diseases is confirmed by neuroimaging and neurophysiological tests.
