We studied alcoholism among indigenous people of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutiya). Clinical and pathogenetic features of course of alcoholism among indigenous people of the republic are revealed. The statistical data characterizing a substance abuse situation in the republic for the last 3 years are presented. Metabolic disturbances are described in alcoholism under conditions of accommodation in Arctic North.
