Nosogenic reactions in 8 men and 34 women with cosmetological problems were investigated. All patients have anxious, phobic, affective, asthenic and hypochondriac preneurotic reactions. More prominent they were in females with acne and dry skin, to a lesser degree - with pathological pigmentation, facial pores and hyperhidrosis. Psychological effect of the cosmetological procedures was the best in hyperhidrosis and acne, moderate in facial pores and pigmentations, and all but none - in dry skin though good cosmetic results
