On the attribution of XIX century blade "shoi" ("khopesh") from Russian ethnographic museum

The article is focused on the single item of close combat blade arms from Russian Ethnographic museum, which was called «Kazakh saber shoi» by previous museum researchers. Peculiarities of it's construction are described here as well as it's closest analogies from private collection in Israel and State Historical museum (Russian Federation). The article is also focused on the peculiarities of the construction of blades, handles and scabbards (if it is possible). Due to detailed description of the blade arms item and it's analogies, author have made comparative analysis of such blades. Based on the results of this analysis author makes a conclusion about it's origin. Different sources of arms and armor import to Central Asia are briefly described in the article. Among them Turkey have been also important. But the role of this direction of arms and armor import to Central Asia is still among actual problems. Author suggests the attribution of «Kazakh saber shoi» as Black Sea type yataghan sword, according with analysis of processes of blade arms import to Central Asia as well as with practice of using among other items of Kazakh arms complex by Kazakh nomads in XVIII–XIX centuries.
